This research tries to investigate the relation between social material condition from 1980 to 2008 and evolving process of the aesthetics ideals of style design in Taiwan through the experience of Chu Genshen, a representative style designer at this time. However, this research is necessary to be based on two preliminary grounds which are not available . First, the model to study social - body forms, and second, the historical picture of Taiwan Style design nowadays. Due to this requirement, the main points of this report will be the fulfillment of it. At one hand, it will be a task to transform Michell Foucault’s philosophical abstract body theory into practical method to construct a model of social - body forms. At the other hand, Homi K. Bhabha’s Post-Colonial theory will be employed as the frame to draw the historical picture.
