Abstract:	本研究主要在探討桌球不同球體在比賽中之技戰術與主要技術項目是否有差異。以世界頂尖選手共7位為研究對象，取其38mm與40mn皆相互對戰之錄影帶共10場，並作成記錄。從實戰角度觀察，結果顯示雖有少數幾局呈現差異現象，但經SPSS10.0版作出的相依樣本t考驗，結果: 一、不同球體比賽對頂尖選手在技戰術表現包括發球搶攻段、接發球搶攻段、相持球段．來回球次數的表現，其P>.05，顯示在實戰方面並無明顯差異。二、主要技術項目包括發球得分、第三板成功率，其P>.05，顯示在實戰方面也無明顯差異。因此研究者認為球體改變後，決定勝負的原因還需要再朝其他因素方面進行研究。 The purpose of this study was to examine how different ball sizes affect table tennis player's strategies and main skills in competition. Seven top table tennis players participated in the World Cup and World Championship were selected for this study. The videotapes for the matches played on both balls with 38mm and 40mm diameter by these participants were used for coding and analysis. Paired t test showed that: 1.There was no difference on elite table tennis player's strategies in Serve and Attack stage, Receive and Attack stage, Rally stage, and the number of rally between games with 38mm and 40mm balls. 2.There was no difference on main skills of Service-point and successful rate of Third ball attack between games with 38mm and 40mm balls. The results of the current study showed that change of ball size didn't affect elite table tennis player's strategies and main skills in competition. However, due to the paucity of studies on this issue and the small number of subjects in this study, the result should be treated with caution. In addition, how less skilled table tennis player's react to the change of ball size also require further investigation.
