摘要: 本研究旨在評估一套以跨理論模式(Transtheoretical Model, TTM)為基礎,專為高職學生設計之戒菸教育介入成效,是否能有效提升學生之菸害認知、戒菸態度、降低尼古丁依賴程度與每日吸菸量,進而促進其戒菸意願與行為改變。鑒於現行學校戒菸教育多以課堂講授吸菸危害為主,缺乏針對個別需求的行為支持與持續性干預措施,本研究採用「實驗組前後測設計」進行。實驗組學生於前測階段未接受任何戒菸教育,介入措施包含連續六週、總計十二小時之團體戒菸課程,並結合三次由校內護理師進行之個別電話諮詢輔導。
研究結果顯示,介入後學生之「菸害認知」顯著提升,「尼古丁依賴程度」與「每日吸菸量」則顯著下降,表示教育介入具有正面效果。此外,學生之吸菸量與過往戒菸經驗對戒菸意願具顯著預測力,說明個人行為經驗為戒菸意願之重要因子。整體而言,本研究證實結合課堂教學與個別化電話輔導之學校戒菸教育模式,未來建議於校園健康促進計畫中導入個別化支持策略,以提升青少年戒菸教育介入之實效與持續性。
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a smoking cessation education intervention based on the Transtheoretical Model (TTM), specifically designed for vocational high school students. The intervention sought to determine whether it could effectively enhance students’ tobacco hazard awareness, improve attitudes toward smoking cessation, reduce nicotine dependence and daily cigarette consumption, and ultimately promote their willingness and behavioral change toward quitting smoking. Given that current school-based smoking cessation education predominantly relies on classroom lectures focusing on the hazards of smoking—often lacking individualized behavioral support and sustained intervention—this study adopted a pre-test/post-test design with an experimental group. Participants in the experimental group did not receive any smoking cessation education prior to the intervention. The intervention consisted of a six-week group program totaling twelve hours, supplemented by three individualized telephone counseling sessions conducted by school nurses.
The results revealed a significant improvement in students’ tobacco hazard awareness following the intervention, along with a notable reduction in both nicotine dependence and daily smoking frequency, indicating the positive effects of the educational program. Furthermore, students' cigarette consumption and past cessation experience were found to be significant predictors of their willingness to quit smoking, underscoring the critical role of personal behavioral history in smoking cessation motivation. Overall, the study confirmed the effectiveness of a school-based smoking cessation model that integrates classroom instruction with individualized telephone counseling. It is recommended that future school health promotion programs incorporate personalized support strategies to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of youth smoking cessation interventions.
