摘要: | 本研究旨在瞭解素食者的生命歷程,包含茹素動機、自我認同、轉化學習及成為素食者後因茹素遭遇飲食適應和人際關係等問題之探討。本研究為質性研究,藉由立意取樣選擇六位22-44年的長期素食者進行訪談資料蒐集,透過前導研究歸納整理訪談導引共包含素食動機、對個人的意義、自我認同、素食者的特質、社交互動、和獨特經驗分享等六項。訪談過程採取錄音檔,並將其謄寫為訪談逐字稿,編碼並分析資料。
本研究結果發現受訪者(1)茹素的動機有3位為護生信念,2位因宗教信仰,1位為健康因素。(2)素食者的自我認同主張是自主內控的生活信念。(3)素食者的特質為慈悲為懷、待人隨和與惻隱之心,以及擇善固執。(4)運用轉化學習過程將茹素作為一種生命態度,原來的自己飲食習慣來自於原生家庭,現在的自己之飲食信念轉變為素食,認為茹素可使健康變好、脾氣轉好和心靈提升。(5)在現今葷食主流文化社群中與人互動需相互磨合。(6)素食者在茹素發展的過程中的獨特經驗豐富個人生命,帶來喜樂與委屈。藉由主流葷食社會環境的存在,素食者用素食突顯出各種他們所認定的正面價值,並視其為社會價值中所認定的美德性質,以及利他利己的一面。This study aims at the understanding of vegetarian’s life course, including problems discussion for the motivation of vegan choice, self-identification, shift learning, and diet adaption as well as human relationship resulted from their vegetarian experiences , etc. This study on qualitative method basis selected 6 vegetarian with 22-44 years of long-term experiences for interview and data collection to conclude and reorganize interview guide through a pilot research, including vegetarian motivation, meaning towards the individual, self-identification, vegetarian characteristics, social interaction and share of unique experience. The interview process was tape recorded, transcribed verbatim, and coded for further analysis.
The study concluded as follows from the interviewees: (1) the motivation of vegan choice was found 3 vegetarian for the belief of protecting all life; 2 for religious faith and 1 for health factor; (2) vegetarian’s self-identification is life belief for independently internal control; (3) vegetarian characteristics include mercy, easy-going and compassion as well as stubbornness for what is good; (4) vegan choice served as a life attitude through shift of learning, from which the original dietary habit in family of origin has turned ones diet belief into vegetarian for good health, better temper and spiritual improvement; (5) fitting together is necessary for vegetarian’s better interaction with people in the current main stream of meat diet in cultural community; (6) vegetarian may enrich individual life with unique social experience in the course of development to bring joy and grievance. Vegetarian use vegetarian diet to feature various positive values identified, which are regarded as the nature of virtue identified in social value, as well as altruistic and egoistic aspect through the existence of the current main stream of meat diet in social environment. |
